Unexpected

The young diva pushed a strand of long hair behind her ear before her eyes traveled slowly to the older, and as she had figured it, the more experienced of the two divas. “I only hope that I can be a more enjoyable roommate than Torrie.” A smirk crossed her full lips then as Sable closed the door to the hotel room behind her, carrying her luggage into the room.

“Trust me, you will be.” A slight laugh escaped from Sable’s lips, then, after a slight pause she continued. “Because if you’re not, I promise that you won’t make it through the night.”

The other woman shrugged her shoulders lightly before taking a seat on one of the beds and silently slipping her heels off. “On to more important business, though…” Trailing off slowly, she stretched out her legs, allowing her body to slowly wind down as she spoke with the older woman.

“Edge?” Sable asked her with a knowing smirk.

“Very funny, I was talking about Chris.” Pulling her hair up slowly, she shook her head. She’d known that Sable was only teasing though, and it was all in fun—for now. She knew that the other diva could understand what she wanted because it was likely she was looking for the same thing with Edge. There was only one question left to answer though, for the young talent. “What are you willing to do to get what’s rightfully yours?”

Sable paused for a long moment, lost in thought. Remaining silent, she crossed to the bed that was placed directly across from the one that the other woman sat atop. As she seated herself, the word came out confidently and without the slightest doubt in her mind: “anything.”

As the simple word emerged, a smile of satisfaction crossed the lips of the other woman. “Well, Sable, in that case… we have a lot of planning to do.”

“He told me to meet him, but do you think he shows up?” Stacy Keibler asked with a slightly raised eyebrow as she walked alongside the redheaded diva. Letting out a soft laugh, she shook her head.

“Judging from the expression on your face, my guess is that no, he didn’t show up.” Lita laughed before gently grabbing Stacy by the wrist and leading her down one of the hallways of the arena.

“And we’re headed… where exactly?”

“To the man that stood you up?” Lita laughed as the two women stepped into the catering room, eyes immediately landing on the two blonde-haired Canadian men. “Wanna find your way to a blonde Canadian… check the catering room.” Stacy simply laughed as she shook her head before slowly clearing her throat as she walked beside Lita over to the two of them, Stacy’s arms crossing over her chest as she offered Chris a strictly serious expression.

“Baby.” Jericho spoke after a long moment, a smile crossing his lips as he raised his eyes from that of his friend, Edge. Stacy remained silent, her arms still crossed over her chest as she silently watched him. “Stace?”

“Don’t ‘baby’ me after you ditched me,” the blonde stated flatly before sitting down at the table both men were seated at, Lita slipping into a chair beside Edge.

“Stace, I was hungry. What did you want me to do—starve?” Stacy couldn’t keep the serious expression on her face any longer after his words. “Starve?” A humored laugh escaped from her lips then as she studied the face of her boyfriend. “Chris, you’re not going to starve any sooner than a mouse is going to devour a cat.”

Edge snickered from where he sat beside Lita, their hands interlaced. “The girl does have a point there, Jericho.”

Stacy simply shook her head with a soft laugh, leaning her cheek against the arm of Jericho. “You could’ve called me so I knew where you were,” the leggy blonde stated after a moment before she grabbed his fork and ate a bite of his pasta salad before placing the utensil back down.

“Isn’t the thrill in the chase?” Jericho teased her, turning his head to look at his girlfriend, a smirk tight on his lips.

“I know one thing - the thrill won’t be between the sheets tonight.” Placing a quick kiss on his cheek, Stacy leaned her elbows on the table as the others at the table just snickered. All the while, the two couples were unaware of the pair of eyes that had been studying them this entire time - the pair of eyes belonging to none other than Miss Jackie.
