Under My Skin

There is so much confusion...}

"My God!" the young woman shouted, drawing the attention of pretty much all the other WWE divas presently in the locker room. "I swear, I *hate* men!!"

Stacy Keibler nearly flinched as she approached the angry diva. Gently, tentatively, she placed a hand on her shoulder.

Lita shook her head, her eyes closing as she reflected on the last several weeks in her life. First, she had been dumped on national television by Matt Hardy. Then, just a couple of weeks back, she had found out from a tearful Trish Stratus that the whole thing with Christian and Chris Jericho paying them so much attention had been nothing but a bet! And not just *any* bet, but one to see which guy could sleep with which diva first. It made her feel dirty, disgusting and worthless. And she was *not* that kind of girl!

"I can't say I blame you," Stacy said, her pretty face wearing a sympathetic yet knowing look. "And I can *completely* relate - look at what Test and Scott did to *me*."

The redhead met her friends brown eyes and scowled.

"All I want is to get some revenge on that miserable Christian - *and* on Matt. What a couple of assholes..."

"Well... You know what *I* did after Mick Foley helped me to finally break away from Test and Steiner?" Stacy asked, unable to keep the grin off her face.

Lita frowned suspiciously. She was definitely in no mood to smile at the moment.

"What?"

"I took the bull by the horns," the leggy blonde replied. "I marched right up to Randy Orton backstage and asked him out!"

Despite her state of mind, the redheaded diva's jaw dropped in shock.

"You did? And what happened?"

"He said yes and we went out!" the bubbly young woman exclaimed. "And we've been dating ever since those two weeks ago..."

Lita nearly did a double-take. Stacy never ceased to amaze her and, well, she was definitely doing a good job of making her forget her problems with men.

"Why didn't you ever *tell* me?" she demanded, giving the other girl a playful swat.

"I'm sorry, Lita... I just didn't want to make you feel bad by telling you that I've already picked up the pieces of my personal life when yours was so messed up." A sad look crossed Stacy's features but another smile suddenly brightened them. "You know, you should really try doing what I did - you *and* Trish."

"Hmm... I don't know," the redhead said skeptically. "I'm not sure I'm ready for another guy so soon..."

"Come on, Lita - will you at least *think* about it?" Stacy pleaded, grabbing her friend's wrist. She looked and sounded very much like a child to the high-flyer as she continued. "Isn't there a guy around here you've had a crush on for awhile? Come on, you can tell me..."

Lita blushed as she ducked her head to avoid the tall blonde's gaze. Stacy knew her like a book.

"Well... *yeah*."

"Great!" the blonde woman quipped. "Then all you have to do is go up to Edge and ask him out..."

The redhead stared at Stacy in shock, wondering how in hell she knew Edge was the guy in question when she'd never breathed a word of a crush on anyone before this.

Then again, Stacy *did* know her like a book...
