On The Outside

Amy Dumas entered the women's locker room in a somewhat crappy mood.

She and Matt Hardy, her ex-boyfriend of now five months, had been bickering a bit the last couple of days, and she was sick of it.  After all, that had been part of the reason she'd dumped him to begin with.

"Where have you been, Cinnamon?"

The redhead looked up into the pretty face of Lisa Moretti, who was already dressed for her upcoming match that night.  Or did the Ivory vs. Molly match already happen?

"Hey, Leece...Ugh, I got a little hung up, so to speak.  A certain Hardy brother left at least five-thousand voicemails on my cell phone, so I had a bitch of a time deleting them -  one-by-one..."  Her tone was angry, but the brunette didn't blame her friend.

"Ugh...poor you," Lisa said, making a face of disgust.  Being a close friend of Amy's, she knew all about the messy, ugly breakup the redhead had gone through.  "If I were you, I'd get myself a restraining order.  That man doesn't know how to take 'no' for an answer...But then again, neither does his little fluff doll, either..."

"You mean blowup doll - and a very used one, at that."

Pretty much immediately after Amy had ended their relationship, Matt Hardy had found solace in another woman - said woman being Torrie Wilson.

"Yeah," Lisa said.  "Oh, and by the way - I heard from Chris a little while ago that Adam is extremely unhappy about something...and it has to do with you."

"Huh?  What are you talking about?  What did I do to him??"

"Nothing..."  The brunette went on to explain how her boyfriend had had a conversation with the irate tall blond man - who had just gotten back from a meeting with Chief Morley.  This 'meeting' had let to Eric Bischoff being called in as well, as the news the Chief of Staff had delivered to him had been anything but favorable.

"Chris said that Bischoff wants Edge to turn heel..." Lisa said.  "And, that in order to do so, he has to turn on you..."

"Oh...?"  The redhead arched a brow at this bit of information.  "Well, that's such a stupid idea - the part about making him a heel, anyway..."

"You don't mind the means for his turn?"

"Not really...Why would I?" Amy asked.  She'd been the recipient of Edge's wrath before - been speared, side-suplexed, Edge-o-matic-ed..."

"Well, from what Chris told me, he's totally against it.  I think it's going to be something really over the top..." the brunette said.  "But I guess you'll have to speak to Bischoff and Morley for more details about that."

Amy frowned, her thoughts focused solely on everything her friend had just revealed.  She wondered if the GM had already told Adam what he'd have to do to her.  She imagined he had, because then why else would he be so adamantly against it?

She knew she'd find out sooner or later what this was all about.
