Adam Weekly - Issue # 80                    

Well, here we are at the start of what could be a new era for WWE. ECW is unofficially starting with One Night Stand and Edge is in a thick of it in a feud with Dreamer and Funk.

The biggest issue will probably be how many bumps Adam will take considering the way Edge/Dreamer match went at WWE vs ECW, but the feud has been simmering nicely as the Edge/Lita/Foley alliance has handed us some great promos and some decent action.

Of course, the other big issue is who will win the WWE title match as Edge will face the winner at Vengeance. It’s just good to see him back in the main event so I don’t mind who it is, I just hope that Edge walks out of Vengeance with Lita and the WWE championship.

My predictions for One Night Stand are:

Cena vs RVD:

I can see RVD winning this. I don’t think they will want to bury ECW on its first night back and I can’t see Rey losing his belt so I see RVD to put ECW and the Money In The Bank contract over. I see RVD christening the belt the ECW title and Edge and Cena fighting for the vacated WWE title at Vengeance.

Rey Mysterio vs Sabu:

I see a Rey win as I don’t think dropping the title to Sabu will do SmackDown any good at all and if Rey does drop, I think it will be to Mark Henry, who will then drop to Batista.

Mick Foley and Edge w/Lita v Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk w/Beulah:

I see a brawl between Lita and Beulah taking place but I think the ECW will probably come out on top here so Foley is put in his place. I don’t think Edge will be pinned and I think there will be some huge hardcore moments in this match but I do see ECW emerging as the victors.

Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton:

I see Angle going over as they are promoting him as perhaps the most vicious wrestler alive and I think a defeat on Angle’s first appearance on ECW will kill his credibility, so I believe that Kurt Angle will walk out the victor.

The King vs Tazz:

I can see Tazz making good on his word and choking King out here. It has gotten to the stage where the fans want King to be shut up and I think he has been set up to fall to the Tazzmission. The fans will see King silenced on ECW.

Tajiri and Super Crazy vs The FBI:

I think Tajiri and Super Crazy will pick up the win here.
