Adam Weekly - Issue # 69                    

Hi, and welcome to this week's brand new issue. Things have been really exciting lately, ever since Edge won the WWE Championship at New Year's Revolution, haven't they? I, for one, think it's absolutely great, and Adam definitely deserves it!

So, last week, it was a huge surprise when it was announced that Edge and Ric Flair would be involved in a TLC match for the WWE title on RAW. I honestly expected it to be a lot less of a deal than it actually was, and that neither man would take too many big bumps. The match had me on the edge of my seat (no pun intended!) and wasn't at all lackluster in comparison to past TLC matches. And the bumps taken throughout shocked me. I really didn't expect to see Ric Flair, who is well into his 50s, fall from nearly the top of a ladder, or take a big splash from Edge from the top of a ladder in the ring to the outside. Likewise, I certainly didn't anticipate Edge taking a fall backwards from nearly the top of a ladder into two awaiting tables on the arena floor down below! Damn, is all I had to say while watching. It was such an intense match, and everyone involved really worked their ass off to put on a good show. Lita even played a big role as well in getting physically involved by holding Flair down on a table when Edge delivered the splash - and how great was it when she pulled the Nature Boy off the ladder and gave him some mounted punches?

In store for tomorrow night's RAW, Edge will be having a tag team match, with a partner of his choice against John Cena and a partner of his choice. There has been speculation as to with whom he will pick to team, from Triple H, to Chris Masters, and even Lita! It should be interesting to see how this plays out, as most everyone is in agreement that Cena will choose Ric Flair as his partner. Personally, I'm hoping it ends up being an intergender match in that Edge and Lita team up against John Cena and Trish Stratus, although I doubt that will happen tomorrow night. In any event, we'll see soon enough!
