Adam Weekly - Issue # 63

Hello, and welcome to this week's issue. Although Edge was not on last week's RAW, there certainly is a lot to talk about.

I'll start with Survivor Series last week. As I'd stated, I didn't think Edge and Lita would appear, and so I didn't order the pay-per-view. I was very surprised and kicking myself when I found out they were there. Of course, I got hold of a video of their appearance, so I can say I'm satisfied. It was a pleasant surprise, and the couple of course unveiled their brand new talk show, The Cutting Edge. This news has gotten mixed reactions from the fans, from what I have seen over the past week. People either seem to completely love the idea, or absolutely hate it. Personally... Well, I think everyone reading this knows exactly where I stand about it. However, I have to laugh at those who hate the birth of The Cutting Edge. It seems like they have to be shaken and roused, and reminded that Adam Copeland has an INJURY and can't step into the ring to wrestle. This is a fantastic idea, and why? Simple - because it keeps him on television while he's healing. Some of these same people who see The Cutting Edge as negative have also expressed disdain that Lita is taking part in this. Well, once again, it keeps her on TV while she's got nothing to do with any of the other women on RAW. And quite frankly, you DO have to admit that it makes a whole lot more sense for her to be Edge's co-host for the show than to mix it up with Trish, Ashley, Mickie James, Victoria, Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson - right?

On that note, I have to say I was extremely disappointed with last week's RAW. It had been announced on WWE.com that the first guest on The Cutting Edge was going to be Triple H, following his victory against Nature Boy Ric Flair in their Last Man Standing match at Survivor Series. All of you already know it was cut. The rumor is that it would look better if Triple H came out on a mic on his own rather than be interviewed by Edge and Lita because of the reputation he has built backstage since the feud with Flair started - no one is sympathizing with him; even the heels have turned their backs on him and turned their noses up at him. It would probably make more sense for a face to be a guest on The Cutting Edge, because then, Edge can utilize his cutting and scathing heel remarks to get himself and Lita more heat, and more support for said face. And hopefully, we all get to see this tomorrow night on RAW.

I have loads more to say, but we'll save that for future issues of this column. Until then, check out RAW tomorrow night, and come back here next week for another issue!
