Adam Weekly - Issue # 62

Hi, and welcome to a new issue. Today, I will discuss a topic that has been of great annoyance to me for the last while.

Some people have been complaining quite a lot lately. It seems that all people can do is complain. Quite frankly, it gets a little old... What am I talking about, you ask? Well, to start with, a few months back, fans started complaining about Edge no longer getting title shots. And when do you suppose these people started complaining about this? Right around the time when he and Lita first hooked up. Once the whole feud with Kane got underway, a lot of people said that it was a "mistake" and that the storyline was holding him back while he should have been going after John Cena and the WWE championship. Yet two things come to my mind in regards to that. One, if you want to go around pointing fingers at who's to "blame," look toward Matt Hardy. After all, HE was the one responsible for starting the Kane feud because he could not keep his big mouth shut and would not stop posting stupidity and childishness on his website. Number two, Edge has the Money in the Bank contract, and a lot of people seem to forget that. He can cash in whenever he chooses, and it's looking more and more like that will happen next year at WrestleMania 22. Not a bad deal, huh?

On that same token, it's getting really old, especially of late, when people are whining and complaining about Lita not getting in the ring to wrestle, and especially reading stuff like, "Edge is holding her back." People, why don't you wake up and open your eyes? First of all, blaming Edge is ridiculous. I wasn't aware that he was one of the head writers in the WWE. And what the complainers fail to realize or acknowledge are these things: One, supposing Amy Dumas is not quite ready to get back in there to have matches? After all, she underwent knee surgery after tearing her ACL, which is an extremely painful injury. Just because she did a Twist of Fate on Hardy back in September does not mean she is ready to get back into having matches. After all, when she executed that Twist of Fate, she was the one dishing out the offense, not getting the offense. She may not be psychologically ready to wrestle again because she may be scared of reinjuring herself. She did have such doubts after she returned from her neck surgery. Two, some may complain in general that they can't stand Edge and Lita together, but do these people realize that Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas WANTED to be together onscreen? The answer is either a resounding "no" or else they don't want to believe it. Well, believe what you want to believe, but it's true. Sorry to burst your bubble. Anyway, the fact remains that Lita can have matches with Edge in her corner and by her side, same as Edge has had matches with her by his side.

Survivor Series is of course tonight. I am not getting this pay-per-view since Edge won't be on, but below are my predictions for the outcomes of each match.

Chris Benoit vs Booker T (Best of 7 Series for U.S. Title): I see Benoit somehow winning this, even though Booker has Sharmell, who has proven to be a valuable commodity, in his corner.

Eric Bischoff vs Theodore Long: I can't believe these two are having a match against each other. I'd like to say Teddy will win, but I think Bischoff will.

Trish Stratus vs Melina (Women's Title Match): As much as I love Trish, I do also like Melina now, and I think the Maple Leaf Beauty has held the title for WAY too long. I would like to see Melina pull off a victory to become the new Women's Champion, but I don't see that happening now. I believe Trish will retain.

Ric Flair vs Triple H (Last Man Standing Match): Triple H has not faired well this year in terms of his pay-per-view matches. However, last time we saw these two square off, Flair made a fool out of "The Game" in a cage match. I'm very reluctantly and uncertainly picking Triple H.

John Cena vs Kurt Angle (WWE Title Match): With Daivari as Angle's special hand-picked referee, I don't see how Cena could walk out still the champion. I suppose Angle could end up winning via DQ, but I don't see the title changing hands. Daivari could end up unconscious for whatever reason and then another referee could run out to make the three-count. I see John Cena winning.

RAW vs SmackDown Elimination Match: I don't really have anything specific to say about this match (except that I'm sure if Edge wasn't injured, he would have been part of Team RAW). After what happened at Taboo Tuesday, I see the RAW team emerging victorious.

That's it for this week. Check back next week for a new issue! Enjoy Survivor Series if you're getting it, and tune into RAW tomorrow - keep your fingers crossed that Edge and Lita will be on!
