Adam Weekly - Issue # 60

Hello, and welcome to an all new issue this week. And this past week, we were all lucky enough to get the opportunity to see Edge not once, but twice. How awesome was that?

Edge's week started off on RAW, where he wasn't exactly the happiest camper around. As I predicted last week, he faced the Big Show in a one-on-one contest. Unfortunately, it didn't go very well, and that was bad because it was a match that would help determine who might possibly go on to face John Cena and Kurt Angle in a triple-threat WWE Championship match at Taboo Tuesday on November 1st. JBL's music, of course, came on, along with his movie on the TitanTron, to distract Edge and subsequently cause Big Show to get the win with a chokeslam. Soon after that, following a commercial break, we saw Edge and Lita in the General Manager's office, Edge complaining furiously to Eric Bischoff about what happened. The GM merely asked him what HE was going to do about the situation.

As everyone expected and knew would happen, Edge made good on his promise about appearing on SmackDown. However, his actions were confusing. His anger had been directed at JBL for the past week, and yet it was Rey Mysterio he speared. It appeared that the entire thing had been an act and that his former tag team partner had been his focus all along. And that excited me, because I figured it was setting up for a one-on-one match between the two at Survivor Series. Well, unfortunately, I was wrong this time.

If you saw SmackDown this week, you already know that Chris Masters ran into the ring right after Edge left, and he put Rey in the Masterlock. Personally, I saw absolutely no point to this since it was Edge who had been having the beef with someone on SmackDown. But this was all setting up for an interbrand tag team match at Taboo Tuesday. And so, Edge will be teaming with Masters to face two SmackDown guys, of any combination out of Rey Mysterio, JBL, Matt Hardy, Christian and Hardcore Holly. How incredibly disappointing - I don't know about everyone reading this right now, but I don't WANT to see Edge team up with Masters, who doesn't impress me in the ring at all. I don't WANT to see him face Hardy for the umpteenth time, especially after Homecoming should have ENDED things between them once and for all. I don't want to see him face JBL, either, simply for the fact that Edge will have to carry the match solely because JBL is not, as he always puts it, a "wrestling god."

I have no clue as to what I think will happen with Edge tomorrow night on RAW. Since he wasn't at Friday night's supershow, and because I know that he got injured at RAW this week, I wonder whether he will even appear tomorrow night. Let's hope his dislocated shoulder isn't that serious and that he'll be all right and will somehow appear on RAW tomorrow. Tune in to find out, and come back here for another issue next week!
