Adam Weekly

Adam Weekly - Issue # 52

Hi, and welcome to this week's new issue. This week, I want to talk about exactly what I knew we'd see on RAW this past Monday.

Well, after the previous week and Matt Hardy's disgusting and despicable promo, it was obvious we were going to be hearing from Edge. Surprisingly, Lita was there, right by his side as well. It was a nice surprise, although I would have done without the neckbrace. Since Hardy spilled the "secrets" of storyline versus real life, it didn't seem to make any sense for her to be wearing it and therefore selling the tombstone from Kane.

Back to Edge's promo, what he said this week during RAW has to be the best and most emotional speech ever verbalized in the WWE. Just as he said during the backstage segment, this was intensity, passion, and, probably most important of all, REAL. I definitely believe we saw very real emotion out of Edge, which came directly from Adam Copeland himself. There is very real hatred, or at least dislike, emanating from all three parties in this feud. I want to also say that I was very happy, but not at all surprised when Edge did not sink to Hardy's level from the prior week, when he made the comment about wishing Adam would die in a car crash. Rather than resort to such pathetic childishness, Edge was the much bigger man and instead said that he wanted Hardy to stay nice and safe, buckle his seatbelt really well when he gets into his car. He wants him 100% at SummerSlam. Let's face it, the entire promo proved more than one thing here: One, Edge is completely correct in what he said during it, that he EARNED his main event stripes. There is absolutely no doubt of this. Two, it proves that Adam Copeland is the bigger, better and more mature of the two. And finally three, and I have even seen this said on PWTorch.com - it is looking more and more like Edge and Lita are the faces in this, and Matt Hardy the heel. As I stated last week, wishing death on someone is not something a face would do.

I wanted to also address something I've read people commenting on at other websites. Personally, I think this is ridiculous, and people see only what they want to see and believe only what they WANT to believe. People have commented about Lita rolling her eyes while Edge was speaking during his promo. Okay, look - if people were really watching and listening CLOSELY and objectively, they would have seen that she did that only as a reaction to things he was saying when he was talking about Hardy - nothing more, nothing less. Do not read anything more into it! I think it's absolutely ridiculous that Edge haters will say anything and everything they can to make it look as though Amy Dumas can't stand Adam Copeland. Funny, because the last I heard, they were still a happy couple and still very much in love. So, to the Edge/Adam Copeland haters, DEAL WITH IT.

This coming Wednesday should be extremely interesting. If you haven't already found out, Edge, Lita, and Matt Hardy are all scheduled to appear on WWE.com's Byte This! I am hoping that Edge and Lita will be live in the studio, but I don't know if this will be the case. Regardless, it should be one of, if not the, highest rated shows in the history of Byte This! Be sure to tune in.

That will be it for this week's issue. Don't forget to tune in to RAW tomorrow night, and let's hope that Edge and Lita will have more amazing segments - and that Edge will have a match! And check back here next week for a new issue of this column!
