Adam Weekly - Issue # 50

Hi, and welcome to an all new issue. Last week was Sam's turn, this week you've all got me again.

So, this past Monday on RAW, Edge was scheduled in a Stretcher Match against Kane. Personally, I could not see the logic in this feud continuing. After the previous week and the cage match, I figured that since Edge had won, that was it for this feud, especially with Matt Hardy coming out to sneak attack him yet again. But obviously, the WWE felt otherwise.

The Stretcher Match was pretty brutal, but that was to be expected. Basically, in this type of match, anything goes. And anything and everything did go. Kane, of course, was the one to mostly dominate, but this was just to give Edge a second wind to end up coming back to win the match. I loved it when Lita pitched in to help him out, too. How awesome was it when she wielded that kendo stick to bash Kane's knee? And then, a bit later, she gave Edge an assist in getting the monster, on the stretcher, up to the top of the stage to win! While this wasn't by any means the best match Edge has ever had, it was a great moment. What came afterward, however, wasn't so terrific.

Naturally, Matt Hardy had to come out of nowhere for the third week in a row to blindside and attack Edge. Boring... The first attack was very unexpected and definitely got a reaction out of viewers (myself included), but for this to happen week after week is just old. And it doesn't look much like a "shoot" anymore, even though the WWE are attempting to make it look that way. I thought it was pretty low as well for Hardy to attack Edge right after Lita got tombstoned by Kane and he was focusing on her.

On that note, I'd like to address all those people who made unfair comments about Edge "not caring" when Lita got tombstoned. All those people who make this claim obviously didn't pay close enough attention. I guess they didn't hear Edge murmuring, "Baby... Baby," or see how frantic he was when he grabbed the referee by the sleeve. I think this is nothing more than a few hater comments, which we as Edgeheads should be used to by now.

Okay, so with that out of the way, let's rewind back to Hardy's attack on Edge. The punches were unbelievably stiff, although I think Edge got more in than his enemy did, thanks to the security guys holding him back. Adam (yes, Adam, not so much Edge) even yelled "fuck you" at Matt as he was about to get escorted away. I can't recall ever having seen him look angrier. That was obviously completely unscripted, and all the hatred we have been seeing between the two is 100% real. But what is all of this leading up to? The answer is getting more and more clearly obvious, much to my own personal chagrin - these two are going to face off in a match at SummerSlam. And no matter what anyone says, I can't see how this is going to "do wonders to further Adam's career." The man should be moving FORWARD and challenging for the WWE Championship, not battling the guy who was his girlfriend's last beau before him! I personally think this whole work/shoot storyline is ridiculous. As I've said before (but you know I'll say it again), the WWE obviously felt there was reason to release Hardy when they did, so why bring him back now? And on that note, I want to address something else.

I have been seeing really ridiculous comments by some people on forums and such lately - actually, ever since Matt Hardy returned three weeks back. I cannot stress this enough - the ENTIRE thing is NOT A WORK! The affair, the relationship, and Hardy's release ALL HAPPENED! What's more, the only reason Matt was brought back was because of all the ridiculous chants from the crowd. All in all, I could scream all of this to certain people until I'm blue in the face, because unfortunately, some people just don't get it. However, I'm going to leave it at this right here.

So, what exactly is going to happen tomorrow night on RAW? Currently, Edge no longer has a feud going on with Kane. After last week's insane events (Kane, of course, hijacked the ambulance Lita was in after he tombstoned her on the stage following Edge's victory in the Stretcher Match), Kane has been taken out of the picture. WWE.com posted a story saying that the Big Red Monster was arrested after hijacking the ambulance. So, where does that leave Edge now? On Friday night, at the RAW houseshow, Edge challenged John Cena for the WWE title, and I have to say it's about damn time!! Naturally, Cena retained, but where is this going to lead? For the moment, most likely nowhere. Edge obviously has Matt Hardy in his present and future while Hardy's been appearing week after week for three RAWs straight. Something's gotta give. I am really not sure what Edge will be facing tomorrow night (I'm also not sure if Lita will appear with him after the tombstone from Kane). The only thing I can guarantee is that Hardy will put in an appearance yet again in some form or fashion, whether to attack Edge again, or do even more. However, I am beginning to have doubts that Edge will even have a match. I can see him giving a promo and then brawling with the attacking Hardy.

That does it for this week's issue. Tune in tomorrow night for RAW, and come back here next week for an all new issue from Sam!
