Adam Weekly - Issue # 47

Hello, and welcome to this week's issue! Wow, I was so wrong in my Vengeance predictions last week. And let me just say that not only am I truly shocked that I got Edge's match wrong, I'm also very, very disappointed.

The match at Vengeance wasn't all that bad. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed finally seeing Edge in an actual match again after weeks on end of constant promos. Personally, I found the contest to be too short, and I think Edge should have gotten the victory, since he and Lita would obviously have revenge on their minds after Kane ruined their wedding two weeks back. When Snitsky came out on Edge's behalf, I was sure that would spell a victory - but instead, we got "treated" to a miscommunication. Oh well.

While the Vengeance match wasn't a complete letdown, I have to say that I was completely disappointed in last week's RAW. That night was the PERFECT time for Edge to try and seek revenge against Kane, and in a one-on-one fashion. I figured last Monday would be the finale of the feud between Edge/Lita and Kane. But instead, we get a tease for a tag team match pitting Edge with Snitsky against Kane and one of the new draft picks from SmackDown (who turned out to be The Big Show). I admit, I would not have minded a tag match. It would have been okay, although I really wanted the feud with Kane to come to an end. I even thought that perhaps, Snitsky would have come out to say he had a problem with Edge after the mishap between them at Vengeance (for those of you who didn't see the pay-per-view, Edge accidentally hit Snitsky in the head with the Money in the Bank briefcase when he went to hit Kane). At this point, I would rather see a feud between those two instead of having Edge focus on Kane, or the other way around as it seems. Of course, that doesn't seem very likely anytime soon, and Kane definitely put an exclamation point on the feud by going after Lita in the locker room. Once Edge discovers the torment and threat of his woman, he will not sit still and will of course be out for even more vengeance against the Big Red Monster. Hopefully, he will challenge Kane to a match tomorrow night during RAW and win, and hopefully that will be the end of it.

Now, onto some rumors that have circulated lately. With Batista drafted to SmackDown last week, it seems unlikely that Edge will be facing him for the World Heavyweight Championship. For me, this draft was extremely disappointing, because it wasn't that long ago that Edge was interviewed by Todd Grisham, who pointed out that the Money in the Bank contract was only supposed to be good for challenging for the World title. Naturally, Edge could issue a challenge to take the champ on during one of the combined brand pay-per-views (such as SummerSlam), but who knows if this will happen? I guess it's possible that the WWE will 'forget' that the contract is only for the World title belt, because there is now talk about a possible upcoming John Cena/Edge feud. If this happens, I think that would be great. Edge and Cena are both very strong characters, and interaction between the two would be interesting, to say the least.

That's it for this week's issue, but there isn't that much to talk about right now after last week's disappointing RAW. Tune in tomorrow night to see what happens!
