Adam Weekly - Issue # 31

Hey! Welcome to another new issue of Adam Weekly.

Well, it seems lately as though the WWE are a little confused as to what to do with Edge lately. Oh, sure, he's on RAW every single week and always has good matches, but the direction he's going seems a little questionable.

Not long ago, it was rumored all around that Edge would be making a heel turn just in time to feud with Chris Benoit and face him for the World Heavyweight championship at Vengeance. This, of course, is not going to happen because of none other than Triple H... The self-proclaimed "Game" has taken it upon himself to book *himself* for the title shot since his movie premiere has been delayed. Blah! I ask this - why must someone as talented and worthy as Edge have to take a backseat to someone who's done nothing but get shot after shot after shot (that is, when he hasn't been the title-holder himself) time after time, and all because of his relationship to the McMahon family? *Ahem* It's time for this ego-maniac to step aside, take a backseat and let someone else have their moment in the sun. But things are the way they are, and there's nothing much anyone can do about it, unless 'someone' decides to be a little nicer and think of others for a change.

It seems as though, as a way to make up for Edge not receiving a World title shot at Vengeance, the WWE has decided to give him the next best thing - a shot against Randy Orton for the Intercontinental championship. Interesting turn of events... Originally, Shelton Benjamin was beginning to feud against Orton, but he's unfortunately taken a backseat due to a broken hand that will reportedly keep him out of action until August. In steps Edge to take his place. The only problem, however, is that Edge has held the IC strap four times already and has not yet held the World title, which is the only one he has yet to covet. Of course, he has also been competing in quite a few tag team matches lately, teaming up with Chris Jericho in the last two weeks. Another interesting turn... Not to mention that while Edge is facing Randy at Vengeance, Jericho will be taking on Batista.

All in all, Edge has still been rumored to be making a heel turn at least by the time SummerSlam rolls around. On a little side note, I've also read rumors that Lita, of all people, may be going heel as well. It would be interesting to see them both turn at the same time, and for her to kick both Matt *and* Kane to the curb and announce that Edge is the *real* father of her baby. LOL... Just my own little shipper fantasy there. ;-)

Nothing more to say this week. Over and out, come back next week for a new issue, and be sure to catch RAW tomorrow night!
