A MILLIONAIRE superstar named Edge is returning to Ireland this November in search of his roots.

But it's not the U2 guitarist, it's WWE wrestler and all-round living legend, Edge. The shades-sporting, death-defying, high-flying pro-wrestler is returning to Ireland - and this time it's personal.

"I've always wanted to go to Ireland because my family is of Irish descent, but last time I was here, we only flew in the night before the first show," Edge told Star Sunday.

"I woke up at 12 the next day. We had to be on the bus at 2pm, so I only had a two-hour window to do something."

And in true Irish fashion Edge and some of his wrestler friends went to a Dublin pub and ate fish and chips.

"The place was packed, it was only one in the afternoon - it's my kind of place."

The WWE superstar will return to Dublin for two sell-out shows in November and he plans to spend a bit more time getting to know Ireland.

"What I would like to do is get out to the countryside, I have always pictured Ireland as these rolling green hills with pubs built into the sides of mountains, so it would be good to see that," he said.

Edge also believes that it's only a matter of time before an Irish wrestler breaks into the WWE.

"Once you're good, that's the key - I'm sure it is only a matter of time."
