Gold Rush For Edge
May 11, 2005

WWE.com: Tonight you took on HBK in a semi-final Gold Rush match– talk a little bit about your victory tonight.
Edge: Subtlety is not my strong suit – I beat HBK. I beat the Showstopper. I stopped the show tonight. I proved that I am money in the bank, and I’m going to prove it in the finals of the Gold Rush Tournament next week against Kane. And I’m going to prove it when I claim my destiny which is winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Batista. I’ve been saying it and saying it and saying it, and no one wants to believe me. Now they better believe.

WWE.com: Like you said, next week on RAW you will face Kane in the finals of the Gold Rush Tournament and then you look forward to facing Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. Do you think you are overlooking Kane?
Edge: I can overlook anyone I want. I am money in the bank. I know it. I believe it. I feel it. And when you feel something like I do, it doesn’t matter who’s in front of you – you beat them and that’s all there is to it. And that’s what I’m going to do. I will beat Kane next week on RAW, and I will beat Batista. And I will claim my rightful spot in this industry – the spot that I’ve wanted since I started here; the spot that anyone in this industry should want – to be the World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE.com: If you win your match against Kane, you will have two opportunities at winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Does this give you an advantage?
Edge: No one, no one in this business can defeat me twice. No one. No one can come up against me in two championship matches and survive. I will walk away the champion.
