WWE diva Maria recently did an interview with COED Magazine, and she made brief mention of Amy:

COED: Growing up you were a fan, what Divas were your favorite?
Maria: I always liked Lita because she had her thong hanging out. Just kidding. She was very powerful and strong, and different. She just didn’t care.

On the October 19, 2000 episode of SmackDown, Lita ran out for her match against Trish Stratus, who was taunting her in the ring with a dictionary. Lita attacked the moment she entered the ring, taking her nemesis down with a clothesline and punches. After an Irish whip into the ropes, Lita took Trish down with a hurricanrana. She then climbed the turnbuckle for a Moonsault, but T&A ran out, and Albert shoved her off the top rope. The three then ganged up, though Lita temporary spared herself with a low-blow on Test. However, he caught her in mid-air and delivered a huge powerbomb. Trish slapped her across the face before she was tossed from the ring. The APA ran out to make the save and helped Lita to her feet.

On the October 23, 2000 episode of RAW, Lita was first seen along with Trish Stratus in Commissioner Foley's office. Foley questioned her about defending her Women's Championship by challenging the Maple Leaf diva to a bra and panties. She declared she just wanted to get her hands on Trish. The match was made, and the two fought it out afterward. Trish got the upper hand first by removing Lita's shirt. Lita countered by stripping Trish of her own shirt, hitting the Moonsault soon after. Then, she got her opponent to her panties for the win. However, Right to Censor made their way out and announced their first female member, Ivory. Ivory came out and got on the mic, claiming the match that had just happened was wrong and that she was standing up for what was "right" and "morally decent." Lita and Trish both seemed annoyed by this and smirked at the prudish diva.

IGN.com has posted a feature on which former divas they would want to return. Lita was naturally one of the women to make the list, and here's what was said: Trish's famed rival over the course of her career was, of course, one Amy Dumas. Lita also traversed the spectrum of popularity and spot on the card, all the way from managing Essa Rios, to teaming with the Hardy Boyz, all the way to theoretically marrying Kane and then becoming the hated manager of Edge, mirroring their real-life affair against Matt Hardy in one of the most heated feuds we've ever seen in WWE. It's hard to imagine her ever being loved again the way that she was at her peak, but Lita was a fantastic, fanatically hated heel at her peak; how hard is that to do when you're hot?

On the November 29, 2004 episode of RAW, Lita teamed up with Victoria to face Trish Stratus and Molly Holly. The dangerous duo made quick work of Molly, and then Trish as Lita executed her Kiss of Death DDT for the win. She and Victoria celebrated with a hug afterward, and Lita smiled at her nemesis in the ring, satisfied with her work.

On the November 22, 2004 episode of RAW, Lita faced Molly Holly and Trish Stratus in a triple-threat match. The Women's Champion and Molly double-teamed her for awhile, but Lita eventually gained control. The match came to a screeching halt as she locked Trish in her sleeper/bodyscissors hold, causing her to tap out. Afterward, Lita made her way up the ramp and smiled as she looked back at a furious Trish.

On the November 15, 2004 edition of RAW, Lita faced Molly Holly in a singles match, making quick work of her. After the bout, Trish Stratus, a funny mask adorning her face due to her "broken nose," made her way into the ring for some confrontation. In response, Lita bopped her in the face, causing the Women's Champion to stagger backward but become outraged. Lita calmly left the ring and laughed as she turned back on the ramp.
