I got to meet the lovely Amy Dumas at an airport on January 20th, 2006. My mom and I were waiting at the gates to see if Amy would come out and when she did, I just stood there speechless, lol. I was so excited. Amy was walking outside to get to the shuttle bus so we followed her and when we finally caught up, we waited patiently for Amy to get off her cell phone. When she did, my mom called her name. She turned around and was like, "Hey! Megan, right?" Since I can't hear, my mom talked for me. She told her that I was Megan and that I was supposed to meet Amy at another airport a week ago on the 13th. Amy was like, "Yeah, sorry about that, but I'm so glad I got to meet you."

Amy thanked me for working on the ADORE calendar for her animal charity website: www.adoreyourpets.org. I said, "You're welcome!" :) I had some gifts for her so I gave her the bag. She seemed surprised and was like, "Aw thank you." :) I asked her if she would like to sign my things and she said, "Sure!"

As she was signing my book, my mom told her that I really love her book. She was like, "Aww... I'm glad she loves the book." Amy asked if I was going to the show in Louisville that night, and my mom told her that we wish we could go, but we couldn't. Amy was like, "Yeah... too far, right?" We said yeah.

When she was done signing my things, I told my mom that I really wanted a hug, lol. So my mom asked her and Amy was like, "Yeah, sure!" and gave me a huge hug. :) Once again, she thanked me for the calendar.

We waved each other bye as she got on the shuttle bus. She even looked through the window on the bus to wave at us. :) Amy is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and I hope I will get to meet her again one day!
